Disclaimer: I don't own any of the Numb3rs characters or related ideas. I don't own MasterMind. I don't claim to. I'm not making any money from this. Thank you.

Author's Note: I'd say Don is about 12 in this story. I'm guessing Charlie would be around 8 or 9, but I'd appreciate it if anyone could tell me how big the age difference between the two of them is.

Alan Eppes raised his eyebrow as he watched Charlie and Don fight over the MasterMind game. "Everybody getting along?"

"No! He's cheating!" Charlie complained.

"I am not cheating! You just won't admit that I beat my genius brother!" Don answered.

"You're mixing them up! White is supposed to be right colour, wrong place!"

"That's black!"

"White!"

"Black!"

Alan sighed. "Don, just concede defeat and you can have an extra cookie."

"That's not fair!" Charlie pouted.

"Is too! Cheater!"

"Double cheater! Daaaaad!"

"I'm right here, Charlie, you don't have to shout in my ear," Alan answered patiently. "How about this: you both drop it, and I'll take you two out for ice cream?"

"All right!"

Don and Charlie raced to grab their coats and shoes, sharing a high five on the way.

"Admit it: You may be best with numbers, but I'm best with schemes for ice cream," Don couldn't help but whisper to Charlie.

"Fine," Charlie answered, then bounced up to Alan. "Can I have sprinkles on mine?"
