Dark Shadows

I wrote this when I was in a very dark mood. Its kind of gory so don't expect a fluffy poem.

Dark Shadows

In dark shadows,
Things lay in wait.
For someone to come,
Take the bait.

Take the bait,
Yes they will.
In dark shadows,
They will kill.

In dark shadows,
The trap was lain.
In dark shadows,
Their victims were slain.

In dark shadows,
The rain does fall.
Stopping the sound,
Of the victims call.

In dark shadows,
You may meet,
Those who in dark shadows creep.

In dark shadows,
Many lay slain,
Their screams lost in the rain.

In dark shadows,
You may fall,
No one there to hear your call.

For before you scream,
Life has flown from you in a crimson stream.

In dark shadows,
They will creep,
Their victim's screams they will keep.
