"Excuse me," Monk said, shaking his head at Harold Krenshaw's lack of knowledge.

As the defective detective demonstrated to Harold the correct way of wiping - horizontally, not vertically - Stottlemeyer couldn't help but shake his head.

Randy said, "They're both so similar, but at the same time, they're different."

"Arch-nemeses," the Captain replied. "They clearly like to get on each other's nerves."

"Do you think Monk gave it to him?" Randy wondered.

"What?"

"The quirks. You think it's contagious?"

"How about you go in there and find out?"

"Because then I might become crazy!"

"I think you already are," Stottlemeyer said.
