"Oh my god!" Connor started to walk to the basement door.
"Wait, Connor! Let's see if he's actually going to try and feed," Gunn pulled Connor back.
Before I feed, can I have a name?" Angelus liked to keep a record of names so when Angel was back, if he came back, he would be ashamed of himself.
"Morning. My name is Morning. Dru had picked it because she would never-" Morning was interrupted.
"-Yeah, yeah! Good for you. I hope your blood is as pure as it smells." Angelus took a step forward, but was suddenly unable to move. Morning suddenly was holding a stake and a cross with a pointed end.
"What changed your mind?" Angelus's eyes widened. Morning kept her eyes on him. Angelus changed to his human face.
"What is she doing?" Wesley asked to himself, though everyone was wondering the same thing. Connor smiled. He started towards the door.
"Where are you going?" Gunn asked.
"To see if she needs help killing him." Connor replied.
"Morning, is it? Well, Morning, you're being recorded on tape right now." Morning looked up at the camera, but a boy had caught her attention.
"Ah! Did I mention Darla is dead, but before she killed herself … she had my son, Connor." Morning didn't know what to say to this. Her eyes went back to Angelus. Next thing he, Angelus, knew he was up against the wall with a stake against his throat.
"You lie!" Morning shouted. Connor slowly went towards the cage that she and Angelus were in.
"No, unfortunately, he's not lying. He's my father. I wouldn't kill him just yet. We're trying to get him back to his 'safe self', Angel, his good form." Angelus chuckled to his son's words. Connor slowly unlocked the cage, once in front of it. Once the door was opened, he walked slowly towards Morning. She was quick. One hand had Angelus by the throat and the other had a knife pointing towards Connor.
"It's okay. I'm a good guy. You can trust me." Connor slowly took his hand out to take the knife away.
"I don't trust anyone, but myself." Connor smiled.
"Same here." He replied. Angelus's hand was in a fist and popped it on Morning's head. She fell. Connor quickly picked her up and locked the gate.
