I lost someone very dear to me today.

Someone who was always by my side, supporting me.

Someone I never thought I'd lose.

Someone who I've known for years...

Yes, you guessed it.

My good friend...

I remember the day I met that friend, 13 years ago. I was so excited, seeing as how I had just learned to write the day before. Maybe it was 13 years before that, I can never quite remember.

ANYWAY...

He was one of my best friends. No matter what happened, it always loved me. The kitty on the front saying 'Nyanya, drunk parade' always made me happy at the end of the day.

The label said it was 'Happy Rainbow Sunshine Drunkard Pineapple Gherkin Friends'. The series apparently also contained a dog known for saying 'Knock Knock, Who Is There, Me'.

And now he's dead... My friend for 13 years... My best frie-

"Taisa, what are you doing! You aren't signing your paperwork, are you!"

I looked up at Hawkeye, tearing my tear-stained eyes away from my Knickers Savana Monkey sketchbook, where I was writing my memo pad's epitaph.

"I'm sorry, Chuui (Mmm. Chewy.). I... am writing the epitaph of a friend of mine who passed away recently. This was the only paper I could find..." I started to cry.

Through my tears, I could see the despainguishness on her face as she ate a piece of the pie I had thrown at her five minutes prior, hoping to delay the paperwork.

I looked down at the sketchbook, writing more on the epitaph.

Years ago, I remember sitting with my Nyanya memo pad, ignoring everything around me at that meeting of the military. King Bradley said something about a war in Ishbal, and something else about me saying no to it and it stopping. I just nodded my head, and continued drawing the caricature of Armstrong puking on Bradley's stomach.

Then there was during the massacre itself. I remember sitting in a cave, wishing I hadn't told Gran he could shove the tents up his ass, and writing my diary entries. I remember one of them quite clearly...

"Dear Nyanya,

Today I killed 17,000 defenseless Ishbal citizens. I burst into tears, wishing this war would end. Then I had lunch. I had a ham sandwich, and Maes brought soup. Riza didn't eat lunch, because, in her words, 'I had a big breakfast'. Then me and Maes played cards for a while. He always won. Then I took a small nap. Then I went back to slaughtering innocent people. Then I ate dinner. After that, I threw Maes at a wall. He won. Then I came back here. The end."

I remember when it died, a few hours ago. I was signing paperwork, like I ALWAYS do, and then Hawkeye came in. She shouted something that sounded like "Taisa! Why are you freestyle rapping? You're supposed to be signing paperwork!"

Of course, being the rapper that I am, I completely ignored her, snapping my fingers in time to the rhythm of her shouting.

I was wearing my fire gloves.

Nyanya never stood a chance.

It had managed to withstand hundreds of gunshots, cigarette smoke, pink sparkles, cakes, dog slobber, Hagane no's random bursts of anger, palm daggers, rapiers, Gluttony...

And then it burst into flames.

As it burned, I think I saw a tear on Nyanya's face. Maybe it was ash. I don't know.

I miss you, Nyanya. You will always be in my heart.

Roy Mustang-Taisa- Your best friend

Then I realized that Hawkeye had been reading what I was writing. Not even bothering to glance at her, I packed up my Happy Rainbow Sunshine Drunkard Pineapple Gherkin Friends stationary set and ran.

"TAISAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!"

The End

So sad, wasn't it? Poor Nyanya. Anyway, please review it... -sniff-
