Author Notes: I came to the conclusion that I had just jumped into the whole pregnancy thing with no grounds, so I made a chapter to reflect back on the moment it all came together and their bond had been drawn together. Please review and let me know your thoughts!

Dedication: To Mistee for her constant encouragement and everyone who has reviewed.

Warning: A bit graphic - if you still believe in boy/girl cooties, DO NOT read this chapter.

Sweet Uncertainty; Chapter Three

----

Now alone in her room, Joan let out a silent scream. Adam, the father of her unborn child, was in the outs with her once again. She wanted to tell him everything. She wanted to scream it at the top of her lungs. 'I TALK TO GOD' she shouted in her mind several times until she had given herself a headache. Adam was right, these secrets were going to be bad for them all.

As she lay on her bed contemplating how she would aproach Adam again her mind was drawn back to the night wich had brought all of this pain and uncertainty about. Her mind faded into a sweet rememberance.

----

Adam began to shake as Joan moved in towards him, her knees weak as well. Silence filled the room as the two took a step closer to the other and slowly tilted their heads. It took many seconds for their lips to touch as nervousness had overcome them. Joan could feel Adams soft kiss linger on her lips moments after they had pulled apart. Their heavy breathing broke the silence as they both made a glance at the bed in the center of the room. The sheets had been freshly pressed and the cover was a deep red velvet of a color, this hotel wasnt five stars, but it was where they were, and this was what they felt. Hand in hand Adam and Joan made their way to the bed. When Adam came to an abrupt stop to kiss her, Joan couldn't catch herself fast enough. She had tripped over his shoe and both had when flying back onto the soft matress of the hotel bed. Neither could control their laughter as she lay ontop of him, a smile on her face. Adam could not stop thinking of how beautiful she looked at that moment. He gently brushed his hand upon her cheek and lifted his head up to kiss her. This time the kiss had become much more passionate than the first and slowly he found his hands begining to move up Joans blouse. A soft moan escaped from her as the kiss slowed in pace and Adams grip became tighter. Now looking at Joan with passionate eyes full of lust and hunger, Adam smiled, rolling Joan off of him and onto her back. Joan closed her eyes, not wanting this moment to end, unsure of where it would lead.

Adam had just begun his job here at the hotel. He was not suposed to be here, with her, in this room. He was not suposed to have taken this long break or make more work for the maid service. And yet, he was here. Here with her, in this room. There was nowhere else in the world he would have been.

----

Joan whiped a tear from her eye, slowly allowing them to open and recognize the silence that surounded her. She wasn't crying over the baby, or over Adam being mad, she wasn't crying over regret, but rather tears of joy. As her face sparkled in the dark she closed her eyes once again, covering them this time with her hands. She wanted to go back. Back to that moment where everything was right and neither had a worry in the world.

----

Adam was slowly moving his way down Joans neck with his gentle kisses and soft touch of his lips. She had never been kissed like this, never felt this way. Her breathing was in short gasps as she made her way up and under Adams shirt, exposing his bare chest. He would have shivered, had it not been a comforting warm moment. Soon the couple found themselves under the sheets, giggaling as they tried to explore eachothers hidden secrets.

"I... I love you Adam" Joan gasped through the pain and pleasure Adam was feeding to her.

Adam gave her a smile, a smile that had accented his face. A smile that made Joan melt. Her eyes closed tightly as she tried to hold onto the feeling.

----

Joan sat up on the bed. She couldn't stand Adam being mad at her. 'Like it or not' she thought, 'I'm going to tell Adam' she stated matter-of-factly to the silence of her room, knowing he had heard her as he always had so many times before. Joan picked up the phone, dialing Adams number.
