Hey guys here's my second american dragon fic, This takes place sixty years after he proposed to Rose. Jake is dying and he sits there thinking about the good times and bad times of his life.

Disclaimer: I do not own American Dragon nor any characters related therein. Any resemblance to situation either real or imagined is purely coincidence.

The old man was absolutely still in the bed. His breath was slow and labored. His mind wandered back through the years and saw the major events of his life. He remembered back to when Rose had accepted his proposal. That day was the same day he had found out she was the Huntsgirl and that she had found out he was the american dragon. After a long talk she had come to see that he and most of the magical community she had been raised to think them. After they were married she turned her back on the Huntsclan and had they had spent many years fighting back the forces that could reignite the ancient war. His mind flashed forward to one of the happiest days of his life. The day his daughter Lilith was born. It had been a tough delivery but both her and her mother made it through okay. The first time he had held her he could sense the power from deep within her. She would be a truly great person, but, all he could think of was how much she looked like her mother. He skipped forward to the night when an accident left only his parents lifeless bodies to be cremated as was the custom with dragons.

His little sister had come to live with them then. For several years she helped around the house and taught Lilith everything she could. Then the first day of school came for both of them. She moved on to college while Lilith began kindergarten. He looked farther forward to when Lilith had begun her dragon training. Lily had shown a remarkable aptitude for fighting, after all before she developed her dragon powers her mother had taught her to fight. Then came the business where the Huntsclan had tried to take her away to become the next magic fighter in the bloodline. It was too bad for them she had already been trained in their ways.

His mind went forward again thinking of the day when his wife had died, she'd died of a heart attack almost two years ago and still, his heart ached for her. His body abruptly stiffened in pain. His body began to metamorphose out of control. This was why an old dragon always died with only his family around him. His mind began to cloud. He could see a light shine through his eyes. It led him toward the great gates of heaven where Rose waited for him.

Hope you liked it. This is merely a precursor to a story I'm going to do in months to come. See ya.
