Phoenix From The Flames
She'd always watched him, watched over him, even watched him sleeping,
never knowing what to say when she saw him, always afraid of what might
happen, of what other people would say. She watched him as he rescued a
girl from the legendary Chamber of Secrets, she watched him come back to
school in sixth year full of pain from his godfather's death. But still she didn't
speak. Never. She watched his haunted eyes, their beautiful green dimmed,
haunted and deadened.
Silence shields the pain so you say nothing
Feel they've rigged the game and you're done with lovin'
Only you can see the darkness in the northern lights.
I wish I knew a way to make you feel better, but I don't. I can't think of a
way. They said that true love always finds a way, but if they thought that,
they were wrong. I try to comfort you just by being there, but I don't know
how much good it's doing. All I want is….oh, for you to take me in your
arms and kiss me, and for everything to be alright forevermore, but I know
that won't happen. Know that can't happen. Not with everything the way it is.
I remember….oh, I remember when we were younger, we were carefree,
before all this came….I'm only sixteen and I feel so old, as though time has
already been and gone. But we can pull through. We'll get through this. I'll
help you, somehow.

I have to do something. Anything. Just something to help you, and to make
you notice me. I don't know if you've already seen me – if you have, you
didn't say anything. But one day….soon….I will do something. And then
I'll find out if you want to be with me forever. Or at all.
