He was running. The Lupe hero had left his home, now searching for it once again. He just had to find it. He had been running for hours, days, weeks, maybe even years. He was following his fathers trail, and his father's fathers trail. He wouldn't stop until he found his home. Nearby grazing Kaus looked up at him, fearing a Lupe warrior. His gaze was focused elsewhere and they returned to their grazing. He just wouldn't stop, he couldn't. Some unknown force was calling him home, back to his birthplace. No matter what the cost, he'd return. The winds themselves were calling him back. It seemed as if the moon itself was helping him. He felt an unnatural power coursing through his weary bones. He plowed through thick snowdrifts; nothing could stop him for long. He only stopped to make a brief howl, searching for the echo his mountains used to create. Alas, there was no echo, it was as if the snow caught all sound and killed it. Not even a Mootix would enter this dreaded territory. Even though the rest of Neopia found this area terrifying, all he could remember was the deep, warming laughter of his father. This was his home, the one he must find, least his son take over for him, thinking him dead. Though he had not eaten since his journey started, it was as if the rain washed away all his hunger. He did not care if he felt pain, he couldn't. Perhaps his body was deteriorating, and his death was soon. That only made him run faster, longing for his free land, next to the wide open sea. He past a light faerie, who noticed, in his eyes, there was a fire burning. He ran as hard and as fast as his powerful legs could, finally reaching the top of a huge hill. He let out his last loud howl, louder than any ever heard before. So loud was the howl, that the mountain not only shook, but split in two. He was on the trail home, and nothing could stop him, not even death.
