Okay... so I freely admit that I'm deeply confused by the Phillips/Krane geneologies. Various episode synopses tell me that Rick had a twin sister. I also remember that Fi's aunt (presumably the one with whom she went to live) having twin daughters.
Now. I'm fairly certain that Molly was an only child - and if that's so, that means that the aunt must have been Rick's sister - which would make her the twin sister from the episode with the telepathy and the code and the... stuff.
If this aunt *was* Rick's twin sister (and I don't remember her name), then it makes no sense for Fiona to have been sneaking around to do Circle things while living with her. Unless she was unaware of her aunt's involvement, and after Fi's removal of herself from the Circle the Circle generally agreed to let her think she'd been removed. That means that her aunt would have been doing Circle-things quietly, behind her niece's back, or maybe not that many Circle-things, because her kids are young (I seem to remember: eleven years old?) and haven't manifested their powers yet and wouldn't be involved in day-to-day Circle stuff yet, anyway. But they'd still have been aware, which leaves me with the problem of why the hell haven't I been mentioning them at all, so far?
There's also the matter of grandparents. I know (I think) that one set of grandparents is dead - I believe the Kranes, as Fiona was named after Rick's mother. If the grandparents they visited during the show were Molly's, then I don't have to worry about them.
...
Okay. I'm going with this: Molly was an only child. Her father is dead, her mother is *not* a Delegate, so wouldn't be aware of Circle-things and not at issue in this timeline.
Rick had a twin sister - that sister is the aunt with the Shakespearian theatre company and the twin daughters, with whom Fi goes to live at the end of season two. (I don't know where the twins' father is - I also don't care. Let's just assume he's out of the picture and not a Delegate and leave it at that.) The aunt is involved in Circle-things but was doing so quietly during Fiona's leave of absence following the season two finale. She's since kept her distance from the family due to Molly's re-initiation, though Fiona speaks with her occasionally.
Her daughters (whose names I don't remember either) are aware of the Circle, but are too young to have manifested Gifts and so aren't involved in day-to-day Circle life. The aunt shows up at the second Assembly (she begs off coming to the first one at the beginning of O, Brave New World due to the necessity of staying home to protect her daughters). There is an awkward reunion between she and Molly, and then everyone carries on like professionals. All other contact between the aunt/cousins and the Phillipses can be taken as read.
I'm begging for input here - please tell me, my (uh... four?) readers, whether this is at all correct, completely damn wrong, or if it's close enough that you're willing to watch me twist the Universe into this shape for the sake of the story without a lynch mob. I'd go through and check details myself, but I've exhausted all possible means of attaining So Weird episodes and there are none to be found. So. Help?
Any and all aid is greatly appreciated.
