I've decided, after a year or two i'm not sure to start on another fic. Please read and review:-)
"I know it's over," she whispered to herself, not aware there was somebody beside her.

Harry Potter, the boy-who-lived, stood beside his longtime friend. Wrapping his arms around her small, fragile body, he tried to give her warmth and comfort. Snow started falling all over Hogwarts and the cold air started to bite.

"You shouldn't be outside. You know how harsh winter can be…" His voice trailed off as he remembered. "I'm sorry. I forgot—"

She shook her head and turned around to face him. His look of concern touched her, fanning the fire inside her, making it burn steadily for him only. But she already gave up on him, on them. Whatever it was between them, whatever it will be, she knew it would never be anything more than friendship.

Her silence troubled Harry more than what transpired months ago. Along with her memory, she lost her effervescent spirit in the accident. It took a toll on her and left her with no willpower to move on with her life. Harry thought it was best for her to recuperate in Hogwarts, a place they once called home. Thinking Hogwarts would help unlock the memories stored and hidden in the deep recesses of her consciousness, they stayed here for the time being and that proved to be a futile attempt.

The expression on her face was indecipherable. It was a mask she perfected over the years and he noticed only now. I don't want you Harry Potter. You ruin everything. She wore the same mask that night of the accident, when she told him she fancied another, a better, man. He went home broken heart with his pride trampled upon.

"I did not lose my memory, Harry."

He gave her a look of bewilderment. Harry kept his gaze on the treetops peacefully resting against the white backdrop of the snow.

"Harry, listen – it's not what you think. I – I am leaving."

"You couldn't possibly leave. You couldn't not have lost your memory," his voice trembling in denial, "Are you alright? Let's go back inside and get Madame Pompfrey to check on you."

"I'm not al—," she hesitated then said "Yes, that's a great idea."

Harry walked her back to the warmth of the Hogwarts castle, never letting her out of his sight until she was safe inside her quarters. Spending months after months with her strengthened his resolve. He was in love with her. Pacing back and forth across the room Harry contemplated of how he would tell her. He thought of how she would react, if she'll accept his love or not. Harry decided to take the risk. When he knocked on her door and received no answer, he barged in and found no one, nothing but a note.

I'm so sorry Harry. Till we meet again. -Ginny
