Disclaimer: I don't own Harry Potter, or all characters, places, and creatures therein. Sad for me, good for J.K.R.

Part Five: The Fall

Flashes of light rose up in a dance,

I watched you fight, lost in a trance.

You held your own, fought with all you had,

I couldn't move to help…it was driving me mad.

Dumbledore had said, he had let it be known,

That you would fight him all on your own.

But then the spell was broken, for there in a flash of light,

Came Fawkes, blazing gold, red feathers burning bright.

Voldemort stumbled, and could not see,

You saw your chance, you knew it was key.

You sprung forward with a hoarse cry,

This was the moment for Him to die.

A flash of light, a clap of thunder,

And I saw my world torn asunder.

Voldemort had crumbled, as I knew he must,

And now was nothing more than a pile of dust.

But you were lying motionless, on the cold hard ground.

It took not a moment long 'fore my voice I found,

"Harry!" I shouted and ran to where you lay.

"Look at the light, there, it's the dawning of the day."

Knowing sadly you were beyond any healing charms,

I picked you up gently and held you in my arms.

Held you in my shaking embrace,

Your blood was warm against my face.

You hands were slick with its red sheen,

And your eyes, now a dull green.

"Dear Ron," you said, voice hoarse and dry,

"Please remember me, but please don't cry."

You breathed one more and final sigh,

I saw you smile, I saw you die.

I hold you tight and hold you near,

While I shed a final tear.

As you go to final resting place,

I pray that God grant you grace.

A/N: Short, but simple. I finally got the spacing to work...wish I now how, though. :P Review, please!
