The Old Corpse

Chapter 1

Gojyo's Point Of View

A/N: I hate little popstar girls, but what can I do? They get my fanfiction ideas running.

It's raining again.

I walked over to the calendar, that was simply put up with a thumbsack and scribbled out the 17th day of January. I hated this.

I threw the marker down onto the wooden floor, and sucked my teeth. My stomach had been hurting for days.

I sat back at the dining table, and sipped my luke-warm coffee. I spat it out.

Only Hakkai can make good coffee.

I tightened my grip on the ceramic cup, and had urges to just throw it across the room. But this was his cup. I traced my index finger around the rim of the cup.

Plop.

Plop.

Plop.

Plop.

I glanced up at the ceiling, where a drop of rain was about to fall, and it landed in it's puddle that was forming on the table. I sighed, and pushed my coffee cup on the raindrop's target.

My stomach twisted again. " Hakkai..." I sighed.

" I'm sorry..." I groaned. What could I say? I ran my hair through my crimson strands. I couldn't say anything. Nothing could excuse it, but why did he have to leave?

I knew where he was, but why was he gone so long?

Then again, shouldn't he be the one to apologize?

I'm beginning to think, that he'll never get over her. But why should he? She is first. She'll always be.

I apparently, can't compare to a corpse.

That's all she is! I slammed my fist onto the table.

All she does is torture him.

" Try not to break the table...Gojyo." He smiled, I turned around.

I held my emotions in, " I'll break it if I want to."

" Then you'll have to pay for it." Hakkai said, realizing I wasn't in a happy mood. He pushed his wet bangs back and took off his dripping coat and dropping it onto the floor. He rushed over to me and threw his arms around me so hard, I almost fell out of the chair.

He buried his head into my chest. " I'm...sorry."

I blinked, " For what?" I said, wanting him to explain what he did.

" That old lady at the market kept me again." Hakkai sighed against my chest.

" That old corpse AGAIN!" I yelled, smacking my hand to my forehead.

" I'm sorry, but she's kind of endearing." Hakkai chuckled.

" I saw her grab your ass once." I grinned.

" I know, it's creepy." Hakkai said blankly.

A/N: Ha, a little twist there.
