Entwined Hearts of Eternity
Prologue: The First Resurrection
I don't know how long I have been captive in this dark empty void of death, alone by my self. But something has disturbed me, has stirred me to a consciousness… of a sort. A noise, a beat, I hear a beat. It is my heart beating, forcing me back to life. I do not want to live… not without her… without who. I… I don't remember! I don't even know my name. I search my mind and find only darkness. I try not to panic as I search harder. Zagato! Yes that is my name, Zagato. My heart beat is getting even faster now. I try to remember more but memories come only to disappear again.
I sense more then feel something wet fall upon my face. I think it is rain that now pours down all around me. It is then that I realize I can open my eyes. As I do, a wave ofshocktravels through my body. I groan out in pain letting the world know I'm alive. Looking at the dark cloudy sky above me I try to grasp my situation. Where am I? I have a feeling the sky should be cloudy and blue not black as the raven wing. With difficulty I turn my head to the side. Nothing but waste land for as far as the eye can see. The land around me looks as if it has been dead for years, for some odd reason not growing bake as most plant life would. By now the heavy down pour has soaked through my clothes, thoroughly drenching me. My body shudders uncontrollably as gust after gust of ice cold winds blow across it. My head begins to hurt and my teeth to rattail. I clench my jaw in vain to stop it. Just as I begin to lose consciousness again I hear the sound of a motor drawing near and a soft feminine gasp. Then there was only darkness.
