A/N: Written for Kyma the White as thanks for helping me with my Halloween costume. I can't believe you made me do this. Anything short of InuYasha/Sesshoumaru would have been easier.
I basically call this a drabbling because I combined the idea of a drabble and a double-drabble. (100 and 200 words respectively.) This hybrid though can be anywhere from 100 to 200 words and is basically set that way to peak my creativity. I don't like feeling restricted to a certain number of words, and I feel it hinders my work because of it. That being said, enjoy!
In Wolf's Clothing
He has nothing left to live for.
His tribe is dead, decimated, and she is gone; just a whisper on the wind and the fading scent of lavender to mark her passing.
The jagged wound racing up his arm battles with the one tearing at his heart, and for once he can't laugh off his failure. Tonight is different. He has lost more than his pride. He has lost her.

He doesn't even know what time it is when she finally comes to him, her eyes full of promises that she knows she will be unable to keep. But still, she comes. To him.
When at last she pulls away, her lips brushing against his in a final farewell, all he can see is green.
His decision is made even before the soft padding of her feet is lost to the sounds of the night. He will not give up now. Not when she has given him a reason to keep going.
