This is a beautifully-written one-shot. Named for the window Duncan watches Violet in.I know my 'fans' are dying for more...here you go!

A TAA fic, Violet/Duncan of course!

Disclaimer: i don't own any people, blah blah blah i hate these things anyway. Whatever, here you go! Again!

Violet's POV

I opened the door to the Orphans' Shack, closing it swiftly behind me and activating the locking device I invented. The device consisted of a knife, two marbles, a stick, Klaus's shoelace, and a small bottle cap. Duncan said it was brilliant. Klaus complained about not having a shoelace. So I invented one out of rubber bands.

Anyway, I locked the door, and anyone who knew me well knew that when I locked the door, I had a serious task to perform. Today's was called An Assignment. Mr. Remora was making us to interpretive dance, or whatever dance we wanted. I hadn't danced in very long. I took a ballet class when I was about five but was not as graceful as I thought.

Mr. Remora gave us each a C.D. player. I had slipped a C.D. that I picked out of the library into the disk drive. (A/N: That sounds too much like a computer, but oh well.) It started off with a high violin note, probably, I guessed, a D. I raised my hands way above my head, as high as they could go, and as the music fell lower and lower until it hit a note so low I could not sing, my hands cascaded until I crunched up in a ball on the floor. The music quickened pace and I rose up again, going with the music, not caring that I was being watched.

For lo and behold, yes I had seen Duncan's face in the small, open window in the tin shack.(A/N: Hence thetitle)But I did not care about embarrassment; I only closed my eyes and performed more elaborate moves with my hands and legs. I piano joined in with the violin, and I imitated the piano's notes ascending and descending...

Duncan's POV

It was extravagant; the way she danced. Things like that don't come from just anyone. I could feel the sadness in her dance, as if she longed to be free and the only way she could was through dancing. I had been watching her for what, five minutes, when all of it came to a close. She seemed to know when it would end, even though this was her first time listening to the song. She was part of the music. Then she opened her eyes back up and...

Violet's POV

"I see you, Duncan." I said. I turned to face him in the window. He blushed and said, "..Oh..." I went to the door and unlocked it. Duncan came inside.

"That was, er, really good." He said. "I mean really good. I can't describe it, but.." He trailed off, but leaned over and kissed me. On the lips. It was just a quick kiss, but it had so much meaning. I guess that's what my dance meant to him.

"Thanks.." I said. "But next time, you can dance with me."

THE END

Eh...I don'tknow when I'll start my next fic. hopefully soon. My keyboard's way wacked; capitals don'treally work anymore, and spaces are not spaced! oh well, please bear with me! Thanks, reviewers!
