Disclaimer: I dont own it.
A/N: Im not a doctor...so...I dont have correct medical info. And the contraction marks for some unknown reason will not show up.
Natalie Durant got up from her place on the sofa to answer her cell phone. She knew that it would be Stephen, the head doctor on her team. Only he would be calling this late at night.
" Natalie," Stephen said when she picked up, " Weve got a sever case of what looks like scarlet fever in Texas."
" But I thought that was treatable," said Natalie.
" So did I. Pack your bags, we leave in two hours. Ill fill you in on the chopper."
Natalie sighed and hung up the phone. She walked into her bed room and pulled out a large duffle bag that was already half packed. She kept the duffle bag supplied with anything she would need in case of an emergency like this. She already had sop, a toothbrush, hairbrush, and some clothes packed. All she had to do was add a few more things, and she would be ready.
Grabbing her keys, Natalie stepped outside her door and locked it. She hoped that no one would try to break in while she was gone. If there was one thing that she ever worried about while she was away, it was that she would come home and find her apartment emptied out.
Walking down the hall, Natalie got on the elevator and took it down two floors to the ground level. After getting into her car, she drove to NIH head quarters.
Once there, Natalie met Eva in the hall and they walked up to the roof to bored the chopper.
" What do you think so far?" Eva asked her.
" I really dont have any details other than it looks like a form of scarlet fever that isnt treatable."
" Lets hope the doctors are wrong and we can take care of it."
" Yes, well, that never seems to be the case," said Natalie.
" Thats why we are NIH," Eva commented.
A/N: This was a very spontaneous thing, just so you all know. I may or may not write another chapter. Its just a spur of the moment thing. Also, I didnt start watching MI until about a month ago, so if any info is wrong that the show has gone over, please let me know.
And yes, I know it is VERY short.
