How Did It Come to This?

A poem for Artemis Fowl's POV after he accidently exposes the fairies to Mankind.

How did it come to this?

I didn't mean to expose the fairies to the other humans,

I am supposed to be a genius,

However, I let one of the most important things in my life be exposed,

Some genius I am,

I was tricked into exposing the fairies,

I am supposed too be to clever to let it happen,

But I did,

The whole human race is preparing to invade Haven,

And the whole fairy race is preparing for war also,

The biggest war in fairy or human history is about to happen…

Because of me,

Both sides want me to join them,

But I know better,

If the humans win, they would be cruel to the fairies and might even enslave them,

The fairies would probably do the same thing,
