Sing To Me, Air Goddess!
"Please do give me another chance," Kaoru pleaded. "The man I was sent to protect was crazy sir! He wouldn't listen to me no matter how much I shouted! He killed himself and there was no way I could stop him!"
"Kaoru," God said apparently annoyed, "I am sorry but you failed with him and now you must suffer the consequences."
"No! Please God! Give me another chance!" Kaoru begged. She threw herself at her master's feet while she cried.
This guardian angel is so annoying! God thought. "Fine I'll give you another chance, but no screw ups this time!"
"Yes sir!" Kaoru said getting to her feet and as she wiped her tears away.
"Good. Now follow me." She did until they reached a giant book of names. He searched though it until he found the right on. "That is your new assignment Kaoru," said God as he pointed downward.
She looked at the name and read it aloud "Himura, Kenshin." She began to disappear and said a final "I'll do my best sir." before she was transferred to earth.
God watched the last of her fade away. He silently hoped this Himura, Kenshin would be just what Kaoru needed.
She flew across the town knowing no one could see her. I've been searching all day for Himura, Kenshin and I still can't find him. Maybe if I had directions or a description of Kenshin I could find him.
Being distracted she flew straight into a pole. Normally she would have gone through it but being distracted mad it hurt her. "Ouch" she yelled.
"You should be more careful." Someone said.
She unconsciously replied "Thank you but I'm naturally clumsy… Hey! Wait a minute." She looked around to see where the voice came from.
"Down here." The voice said. She looked down at a red-haired man with a scar on his left cheek. He was short and very handsome. His violet eyes smiled at her. "Hi! I'm Kenshin Himura. Who are you?"
She smiled. She flew down so she was on his level. "Oh that's why you can see me," she said, "I'm your guardian angel. I was just sent to find you and… hey. Don't you realize that people will think you're crazy? I mean they can't see me so it looks like your talking to a pole."
Kenshin looked around and sure enough people were staring. He motion for her to follow and he led her to a house. They went inside and they went to his room before they started talking again. "So, how did you think you were going to find me?"
"Well, I was hoping to go to a school and look through the records…" she replied meekly.
"That wouldn't work." He said flatly.
"May I ask why?"
"I don't go to school. I have a job now. School isn't my thing."
"That is why you need a guardian angel. You need to get back to school."
"Why should I?"
"Because of you don't, you'll be working at the dump you call a job for the rest of you life!"
"So, who cares?"
"I care! That is why they sent me! Now you get you but in school! I don't want to see you grow old working at so gas station making 3 bucks an hour!"
Kenshin grabbed her arms and yanked her down to his level. He gripped her tightly and slammed her in to the wall. "I'm not going to school." His eyes flashed amber. He let her go and fell back on his bed.
She stared at him. He had two personalities. "Fine. Don't go to school now. I'll get you there someday." She said. She flew over to him a hovered above him. "I'll be watching over you." Was all she said before she faded.
He held his arms up trying to catch her but only caught dust. He smiled knowing she would be back. He closed his eyes and slept.
She watched him from the corner as he slept. She was going to like this assignment. Very much.
Hey! I'm back! This is the air element by the way. They will fall in love later on you know.
