Confusing Curses written by Fox Dreams
First story! Yay, I did it. leans over whispering You know, this is a fantastic way to avoid math homework. Yuck, Calculus! I did come up with the idea for this fanfiction, but my friend, Emisan gets credit for getting me to write it. I do not own any of the Fruit's Basket charaters, their curses, house, or plot, but I do own my math book. It cost me 112 dollars! Thanks for listening. Now on with the show.
No one really knew how or why the curse had changed. All they knew, was that it happened sometime on Saturday night after everyone had gone to sleep.
Tohru quickly ran through the house looking for her purse. She was sure she had placed it next to her bed the night before, but when she had gone to get it after breakfast, it was gone. She was going shopping today, and if she did not leave soon they would not have any food for lunch. The week had been too busy with exams to go before, so she had held off till now.
"Squish!" Tohru tripped over something making her fall down. After rubbing her knee she looked behind her. "Oh my gosh! Kyou! I am so sorry. I didn't see you." There on the floor lay one very pissed off squished orange cat.
"Tohru are you coming?" Tohru turned around to see Arisa standing by the open door. "What happened?"
"Uh..." Tohru looked between her friend and Kyou, who was now sitting up and shooting death glares at her. Don't change back! Don't change! She franticly thought of something to tell Arisa. "I'm ok, just fell over Ky...uh I... I mean Kitty."
Kyou's look intensified, his orange fur puffing out, as he watched Tohru pick herself up and run out the door, pushing her confused friend ahead of her. Kitty! KITTY!
"The name suits you." Kyou glared up at Yuki with hate, as the other boy adjusted his sleave cuffs.
Yuki just smiled, before turning to walk out the door. Kyou was just too easy to upset sometime. He grabbed his coat and headed outside, he had some errands to run today, maybe he could catch up with Tohru and walk to the stores with her. They had not had a lot of free time this week because of the exams in school, but maybe now that they were over they could work on the garden together.
Buttoning his coat up Yuki looked over towards the direction of the garden, which was hidden some distance into the woods that surrounded Shigure's house. Tohru had seemed to enjoy working on it with him and he could do with the company. Without her working with him on it, he had noticed he missed her presence. The work tended to go faster whenever she helped.
"Uof," Yuki instinctively grabbed on to what had knocked into him as he fought and lost to keep his balance.
The ground was hard, and annoyingly wet. He could already tell that he would have an embarrising wet spot on the seat of his pants. Opening he eyes, he had to squint to see, as the sun was glarring directly into his eyes. Shading his eyes with his grass stained hand Yuki received the shock of his life. There in his arms lay Tohru. Tohru, who was a girl. A girl, who was hugging him, Yuki. And he was human.
Tohru opened her eyes and looked into the shocked eyes of the boy she had knocked over. "I'm sorry Yuki! I forgot my bag and... and... Yuki, are you ok?" He could only drop his mouth open in shock.
Meanwhile, Kyou hissed at the clock as he paced on the kitchen counter. He could not figure out why he had not changed back yet.
Is the curse gone? Hardly, how would that make a good story? No, it has just changed. Is Shigure going to be in the story? Yes, the main character's do live in his house. Will I ever update? Yes. When? Sometime in the near future.
