I don't own Sakka or Zuko, but I do own Sada and Bit.
The song belongs to Yellowcard.
There's a place off Ocean Avenue
Where I used
to sit and talk with you
We were both 16 and it felt so
right
Sleeping all day, staying up all night
Staying up all
night
Sada walked down to the pier. She of course, was 16. Just as the person she was meeting.
"Hi Sakka," she whispered as she sat next to him. "Ready to swim?"
They both dived in the cold water. I mean, so what if they slept all day, right? This was their ritual for the next two years.
There's
a place on the corner of Cherry Street
We would walk on the beach
in our bare feet
We were both 18 and it felt so right
Sleeping
all day, staying up all night
Staying up all night
When they turned 18, they walked barefoot everywhere. Especially around cherry trees. Both climbed up the thick branches to get the cherry blossoms for Bit's wedding even if she was marrying Zuko (the banned prince).
"I have 18 cherry blossoms. You?" Sada asked smiling at the thought of her sister getting married.
"20. I beat you" Sakka stuck out his chest proudly.
Sada glared. "We still need 40 more perfect ones to find for the wedding. Also, I'd run away with you, but my sister is here and we are still young." She kissed him on the nose.
If
I could find you now things would get better
We could leave this
town and run forever
Let your waves crash down on me and take me
away
10 years later
Sakka sighed. He was upset. Sada had disappeared five years ago. He wanted her with him tonight. The only thing that keeps him tied to the world is her. He even make believes that she is there.
There's a piece of you that's
here with me
It's everywhere I go, it's everything I see
When I
sleep, I dream and it gets me by
I can make believe that you're
here tonight
That you're here tonight
"Bit, where did she go?" Sakka asked grieving.
"I think she went to train so that when she got back, she would be perfect for you. After all, she is an airbender."
"I'm going out looking for her." Sakka left before the pregnant woman could stop him.
If I could
find you now things would get better
We could leave this town and
run forever
I know somewhere, somehow we'll be together
Let
your waves crash down on me and take me away
He took the search for days on end and began to find clues to her whereabouts. 'I'm sorry I ever broke up with her. She was perfect. But my job offer just had to get in the way.' Sakka sighed.
I remember
the look in your eyes
When I told you that this was goodbye
You
were begging me not tonight
Not here, not now
She looked into the same night sky. "I miss him. He was perfect. I'll just pretend he's here tonight."
We're looking up at the same night
sky
And keep pretending the sun will not rise
Be together for
one more night
Somewhere, somehow
Both walked to the same lake where they used to. Sakka and Sada ran there as fast as they could and met in the middle.
They both smiled as Sakka leaned down and kissed Sada on the cheek. "Let's get married," his whispered into her hair.
If I could find you now things would get better
We could
leave this town and run forever
I know somewhere, somehow we'll be
together
Let your waves crash down on me and take me away
