Hello everyone. I really do hope this is up to your satisfaction. Heh, that's really all I'm gonna say. Oh wait.. I bet you want a summary?
Another part of Kagome's soul has been taken. This brings a certain change to Kagome's personality and attitude towards life, and love. But the question is, is this change for the better or the worst? Only time will tell….. (I have no clue, but everytime I re-read this poem to myself, the tune of The Highwayman comes to mind. So if you've ever heard the poem, that's the rhythm.)
Disclaimer: I'm sure you ppl are smart enough to figure it out.
Prologue
An ice-cold heart in the west
A wounded soul in the south
One lingering for the best
The other with a defensive mouth
Both the same when it comes to the causes
Both blind to undeniable truth
Mind so twisted it'd make you nauseous
Mind trapped in the love from his youth
Pure thoughts and selfless emotions
Thoughts tainted with revenge and death
She longs for the love of a rude one
She clings to a corrupted dept
Both stuck in the past of their future
Both lingering in the wrong place
Mind ready to help and to nurture
Mind plotting with a desperate haste
A cold brisk wind had greeted her
When first she awoke to light
Her dream, it seemed just like a blur
Tears glittered as she cried
But of course it was no premonition
But of course it was just dream
No reason to make her eyes glisten
From something that would make her scream
Her trance of course it was broken
A catcher lay near her hand
In its mouth was a soul it had stolen
On her monotonous commands
She lifted herself from the tree branch
Where she plotted with a vigorous air
Then devoured the soul without second glance
Brought a hand through her willowy hair
It was Sango who first saw him
With shippou she went to scout
She'd been helping the young kitsune
For by himself he'd caught a trout
She had just looked up for a minute
To stretch and straiten her back
She took off to bring a warning
Shippou struggling with his catch
The monk sat next to the hanyou
Voicing his concern for his friend
Hinting Kikyo thought him a fool
She would deceive him again
And of course he did not listen
He knew Kikyo loved him so
He walked out the door truly agitated
And ran into Sango
She was out of breath and was tired
But this message she would relay
He had barely understood what she spit out
Turned and stared at Kagome
She was ready and set for battle
She would not be left behind
She ignored her hearts strong rattle
Praying her dreams weren't a sign
All was ready and all was perfect
The brat still asleep at her side
She then very gently lifted her
For the two-headed horse she would ride
Lord Sesshoumaru of course would be angry
That fitted her plan like a glove
Finally the look alike will painfully
Die while she'd have all the hanyou's love
The west lord tore through the blue sky
Looking for Rin, his young faithful ward
He had heard the girl's startled cry
And had wondered what it was for
Going back to the campsite he realized
That Rin and Ah Un were gone
Instead he found jakken who apologized
For leaving the girl alone
Inuyasha first came upon Kikyo
With a girl and a two headed horse
By the look of the girl's bruised forehead
She was probably taken by force
Kagome was mad but stayed seated
Upon the hanyou's back
Never thinking that they would be greeted
With an angered west lord, about to crack
She smiled with satisfaction
The board and the players were set
By Inuyasha's stupid actions
The wench would never forget
That the hanyou would never be hers
That she had no right to her soul
She wanted her to feel the same curse
That made her life and death horrible
With a powerful gaze he spots her
Controlling his hate a disgust
With a powerful slash he attacks her
Wanting to return her to bones and dust
She just laughed for she had expected
Just for him to pull that plan
She let Rin watch the one she respected
By her side as she held her hand
Inuyasha ran foreword to protect her
Dropping Kagome to the ground with a plop
But it didn't really help much
Because Sesshoumaru had already stopped
Rin had never seen blood on his fingers
He wouldn't let her see now
The priestess of course he would kill her
But without Rin watching, how?
Inuyasha then yelled at his brother
Unsheathing and swinging his sword
He would protect Kikyo like no other
They would hate each other no more
Looking back at the woman he smiled
Not seeing the scorn and the lies
And Kikyo all the while
Let out a slightly bored sigh
She pushed the young girl to her master
Her purpose so rightly fulfilled
Rin stumbled and then walked faster
The whole time not a tear had been spilled
She knew he would come and would save her
She knew he would not let her get hurt
She knew he would never hurt a fly
Oh how little she really knew
Kagome struck dumb at her actions
Wondering why the young girl would grin
At the demon, the killer, the monster
What was the girl's name? Rin?
Could the demon lord really care for
A small little human child
It made no sense that she could carelessly
Run to him smiling wide
Kikyo sees her distracted
This was her chance to strike
On this impulse she acted
Unleashing all her pain and spite
Inuyasha just walks a bit closer
Eager to hold Kikyo
He wanted to tell her he loved her
More than she'd ever know
He freezes mid step mouth like marrow
Slightly dazed as he watches the scene
He watched her release the arrow
Noticing Kagome never screamed
Sesshoumaru grabs Rin and directs her
Attention to some flowers instead
Of watching the sad scene unfold
Undoubtedly today there'd be death
She had just enough time to realize
That all her worst fears had come true
She lay there shocked forming the words
"Inuyasha I loved you…"
A shame that a heart so gracious
Was lost to the sea of death
A pity another part of her soul
Was turned over to the undead priestess
Whelp there goes an actual inuyasha poem; I bet you are all so happy! I'm happy how this turned out, now tell me what'cha thinking! .
