A/N I wrote this little thing a long time ago, about at the start of season 4 when Grissom first appeared with a beard. My sister dug it out and I decided what the heck I'll post it anyways

Bearded Men

Beards. Sara had always hated beards, ever since she could remember. They'd always seemed somehow dirty to her, like they were always dusty, with little bits of food stuck deep in a raspy prison. "Help me! Help me!" Bearded men always felt dishonest. When Sara pictured a liar, she saw an abundance of dark bushy facial hair hiding the face of a monster. Facial hair was….sinister, sneaky, ill defined. Such men had no chin, no lips, nothing concrete about their faces, just a half mask. Beards were ugly, frightening….

Until yesterday

The motions were innocent enough. He'd come up behind her to look at something she had clasped delicately in her tweezers. She'd been wearing a boat-neck shirt and his recently grown beard rasped over the sensitive skin of her exposed shoulder. The slightly ticklish sensation raised goose bumps all down her arm and make her nipple tighten unexpectedly. Then, at the start of shift, she had a brick fall on her hand, shredding up her knuckles. After her startled yelp of pain, followed by stupidly shaking her hand and splattering blood across the front of her shirt, he grabbed her wrist and led her to the back of the Tahoe like a recalcitrant child to clean her scrapes. As he smoothed a band aid over her swollen knuckles he brushed a kiss across her skin. His mustache, much softer than she expected, teased the undamaged skin above the bandage, sending shivers up her arm.

So now Sara found that she had to reevaluate her opinion of bearded men. His was unexpectedly soft and surprisingly……arousing. He didn't look sinister but rather….incredibly masculine.

Please Review, I love hearing from you
