"You're right, that is a bad idea," Tom said. Margo had just suggested that she go undercover to catch Richard Nevins. "There are so many things wrong with that idea, I don't even know where to start," He continued when Jack suddenly spoke up, "Margo, he's right. You can't take that chance." "Why the hell not? It's the perfect way to trip him up. If he's so mad at us for killing his brother, he will have to mess up some time. And when he does, we will have the whole police force there to catch him." Seeing this was really important to Margo, Jack agreed, "I'll see if I can set something up. Why don't you two go home. I'll call you if I find out anything."

Tom and Margo rode home in an awkward silence. Margo wanted to talk to Tom about this but she knew from experience it was best to let him cool off before discussing this with him. He was stubborn, but she knew he only wanted what was best for her. While she was thinking, the silence in the car was interrupted by Tom's cell phone ringing. Margo sat there and watched as Tom ignored the ringing. "Aren't you going to answer that?" Margo asked him. Something was odd, he usually picked up his phone on the first ring. A District Attorney had to be on 24-hour call. Instead he answered her in a curt tone saying, "Nope," and then reached over and turned his phone off.

Tom and Margo walked in and Tom threw his keys on the table. They had ridden home in uncomfortable silence and Margo wanted to know what Tom was so upset about. "You want to tell me why you haven't said a word since we left the station?" Margo asked her husband. Tom turned around and said, "Maybe its because I'm thinking that my wife has lost her mind!" Tom was starting to get angry. "What are you talking about? Why are you so upset?" Margo asked, confused as to why Tom was so angry.

"Exactly what were you thinking about when you offered to go undercover to catch this guy?" Tom asked. "I was thinking that I'd be doing this country a favor by putting a known rapist in jail where he belongs." Margo replied. "He's a regular at Java Underground. So, I put on a sexy number and go look like I'm lonely and shy. I'll lead him on and when he tries something, I bust him."

"That's if everything goes as planned, Margo! This guy is a psycho. We don't know what he'll do. If this is the way Jack and Hal want to do this, that's fine, but we don't have to be within a hundred miles of this sting if we don't want to." "But I want to, Tom! Elroy Nevins and now his brother have put us through hell and I want to make sure that this Richard goes to jail. After everything we've been through, I thought you'd know that." "I do know that, but I don't understand why it has to be you doing this." Tom turned soft, walked over, and put his hands on her arms. "Look why don't we both just recuse ourselves from this case. I'll hand it over to the ADA and you turn it over to Hal and Jack."

"You're not serious!" Margo exclaimed, angry that Tom would even suggest such a thing. "I am. This has got to stop, Margo. Its become one thing after another. When are we going to get past this?" Getting angry, Margo said, "I'm sorry if its not convenient for you, Tom, but I have to catch this son of a bitch before he rapes another woman"

Tom was still not convinced, "But that's just it, you don't have to, You have two other detective friends who would be glad to take the case for you. When do we get to stop reliving this?" "Reliving what?... My rape?...Wow, I can't believe you just said that," Margo said, shocked and angry. Realizing, the weren't going to get anywhere and tired of fighting, Margo turned around and walked out the door, slamming it behind her. "Margo..." Tom said, immediately sorry for the way that last remark came out, but she was already gone.
