It was everywhere, drowning him. Why did he have to be in the way? Why did that boy have to walk in the way? He must have seen Leon practicing, he couldn't just stop mid-swing. Oh god, there was blood everywhere, everywhere. Smothering him, he couldn't breathe. He had to leave, had to.

Cloud had seen something wrong with Leon for the past day, although Leon had tried to lay it off as nothing it was clearly something.

It was raining as Cloud saw Leon running, leaving him. A note on the table was all that was left as an apology.

Cloud read it then took off after his lover.

He caught up with Leon in the park, and pulled Leon into his arms.

"You shouldn't" He was sobbing, trying to pull out of Cloud's arms.

"It doesn't matter. An accident, that's all it was. You didn't mean to. That's what matters." He pulled Leon closer to him, held him tighter.

"I have to go. They know, they know I did it. It doesn't matter to them."

"We'll go together then. I won't leave you. Ever."

"Thank you."

With that, Cloud and Leon went back to their apartment and packed properly, forcing anything of importance into their Gummi Ship.

It didn't matter where they landed. Nothing else mattered, only the two of them.
