He learned each movement, grim and determined, slowly adapting it to the way his body moved naturally. Suki showed the steps, again and again, each smooth glide and each flow of the limb as extension of intent. He stumbled less, focused more, gained surety in each step that followed.
The sun began to fall.
Suki touched his shoulder and smiled, a light in the pale mask of paint.
"Good," she said.
