Silently
I walk through the corridors,
With one thought,
One purpose,
One plan in mind.
Pain coursed through his bond as he struggled to reach his destination. His lightsaber was held in his hand, not yet ignited.
I feel your pain my love,
I'm
coming as fast as I can,
I will soon be there.
The snap hiss of a lightsaber is heard as he ducks away from the danger. Back and forth he fights his adversaries who block his way to his intended goal.
Hold on,
Let my love for you,
Strengthen you.
Force pushing his adversaries with a powerful Force shove
against a wall, he makes it to the room. There on the floor lay his
love and over her, her tormentor.
He threw his lightsaber at the
surprised tormentor's heart in a silent fury. Not bothering to
watch he went straight to his love.
Her clothes were matted with
blood, brown hair tangled in a sweaty mess. Her eyes were closed,
face etched with pain.
Seeing you like this tears at my
heart,
It should have been me laying here,
Oh my selfish
heart,
What have I done?
Footsteps approach and he hurriedly closed and locked the door with the Force. Taking his deactivated lightsaber he ignited it and cut a whole in the wall big enough to get through. Gently picking her up he carried her through the opening into the rain. He heard a crash as the enemy crashed through the door and picked up his pace as quickly as he could.
How
could I not realize,
How much you mean to me?
Dodging into a cave he tripped and fell with her in his arms into the slick mud. Gasping for breath he got his breathing under control and checked on her. Her life signature was diminishing rapidly, her pulse beginning to fade.
No, I can't lose you,
I can't live
without you,
Have I learned this only to lose you?
"Please
wake up Jaina." He begged, tears staining his dirty face. He rubbed
her cold hand with his big strong ones.
Her glazed brown eyes
opened and focused on his face. Her mouth moved but no words came
out.
I focus on healing her with the Force,
My efforts
are in vain,
I'm losing her,
All because of a choice.
"Jaina stay with me. Help me to heal you." He pleaded.
"Can't." she managed to say in a cracked voice.
"You can, I know you can." He continued.
Too far away,
Running
with her in my arms only decreased her chances of survival,
The
ship is just to far away.
She gave him a weak smile. Her face was pale, lips dry and cracked. "There….is no Death….there is the…Force."
"Jaina you can't leave, I… I love you." He said in a choked up voice.
"I know." She said as she closed her eyes and breathed her last.
The love of my life is
gone,
I was to late in understanding that I loved her,
I made
a choice,
Now the consequences weigh heavy upon me.
He kissed her lips and cried as he hugged her lifeless body close to himself.
I was not strong enough to heal her,
I'm
unworthy to be a Jedi,
Friend or lover.
Carrying her lifeless body he continued the walk to his ship in the now blinding rain.
