This is the second story I've written, and I hope I remember to update, unlike my last one...

InuYasha's heart was beating fast as Kikyo was advancing on him. He was trapped; pinned to a tree. "I want you," Kikyo said as she began to embrace him.

"Too bad. I'm Kagome's," he replied, pushing her away.

"I will have you," she said, her soul collecters carrying her away, "One way or another."

InuYasha sighed in relief. 'I better be on guard. There's no telling what she'll do to get me,' he thought as he left the forest.

He was going to Kaede's hut where to others were.

"Hey everyone," he said as he entered the hut.

"Hi InuYasha!" Kagome said, leaping off the ground to hug him. "Where've you been?"

"Out," he replied. "Okay. Anyway, lunch is ready," she said as she handed him his ramen. "Thanks," he said.

He was deep in thought as he ate. Miroku noticed this and asked, "What's on your mind, InuYasha?"

"Nothing," he replied, motioning with his eyes for Miroku to go outside. He did, not wanting to make a scene. InuYasha followed him. They walked until they were far enough away from the hut so they couldn't be heard.

"Now, what's on your mind?" Miroku asked.

"I saw Kikyo this morning," he replied. "She was trying to make me hers."

"What did you do?" Miroku inquired.

"Pushed her away and told her I was Kagome's. I should have killed her when I had the chance."

"But you're not Kagome's," Miroku said.

"I know. I wasn't thinking," InuYasha said.

"Come to think of it, she does seem more 'friendly' around you. Did you see the way she jumped up and hugged you?"

"Yeah. I wanna tell her how I feel about her, but I can't."

"Why not?"

"I just can't."

Meanwhile...

Kagome was sitting on the floor of the hut petting Shippo's head. Sango was sitting across from them.

"Sango, can you keep a secret?" Kagome asked her.

"Sure, what is it?" Her voice was filled with worry.

"I think I love InuYasha," she admitted.

"What a surprise," said a disappointed Sango.

"What's that supposed to mean?" Kagome said accusingly.

"We've all known you love InuYasha," she replied.

"How?" Kagome asked.

"The way you hang around him, look at him, and you whisper his name in your sleep."

Kagome blushed. "How would you know what I say in my sleep?" she asked the Demon Slayer.

"I have to be alert at all times with that perverted monk," she replied.

"Is it that obvious that I like him?" she said.

"Yeah, it is," Sango replied.

"I hope he doesn't notice," Kagome worried.

"Why don't you want him to know?" Sango questioned.

"He thinks we're just friends. If he knows I'm coming on to him, he might not like me anymore," she replied.

"I think he'll still like you if he notices. Who knows. It might lead to something more."

"This is InuYasha we're talking about here."

"So?"

"Nevermind, here they come," Kagome said before the men entered.
