The dirge of good and evil
the first act
Prologue: This story is based solely on the Final Fantasy RPG style sort of storyline. Something in the past will inevitably affect something in the future, be it near or far. Let me introduce myself, call me Ataru. Note: the characters in this fiction are of my own origin, so is the general landscape. I will now introduce the characters.
Aethis: The main character of this fiction, oddly intelligent for his age. The Good.
Theoticus: The leader of the rogue faction Neo-Artemis. The bad.
Yuang: The bounty hunter searching for Aethis. The... still bad.
Other characters will be introduced in later "episodes" of this series-to-be.
Please R&R, I am anxiously awaiting your reviews.
Chapter one:
Endless
Aethis looked up at the bright blue sky. He thought to himself on how he could get himself of off this floating island. He had been here since he was born, and had not left town since. Aethis decided to sleep on it and quickly fell asleep in his hammock. That very night the island was attacked by Neo-Artemis, the rogue group that was currently in control of a third of the known world.
Aethis woke up not in his hammock, but on the ground, with shards of glass, land, and metal lying all around him. When he finally collapsed, he felt himself get dragged across the rugged ground to a new place, the surface. When Aethis reawakened, he saw a tall man standing in front of him. The man then introduced himself with a rather rude "Get your scrawny ass out of bed, you're coming with me." (Then again maybe that isn't much of an introduction!) Aethis obeyed due to the lack of a usable weapon. But on the way out of the inn, Aethis grabbed a display sword and used it to defend himself. The battle was not so fierce but Aethis did win, and he pulled a name from the lips of the man. "The... name's... Yuang. And I'll be gettin' you kid. Soon enough, I'll be gettin' you." Yuang was then dragged out the door to the nearest medical facility... which just happened to be thousands of miles away.
Being a person of a large I Q, Aethis should have known better than to cause any trouble which would later inflict him pain. He didn't, which is why he proceeded to yell out "Neo-what now?"
He knew he was in their territory, he wanted to yell. In fact, at that very time he was nearly surrounded by Neo-Artemisians. Being cocky can kill you, because he was now fully surrounded by Neo-Artemisians, angry Neo-Artemisians. Aethis began by beating as many of them as possible before he was downed and taken into the Neo-Artemisian Zeppelin.
At this point, Aethis met his enemy. Theoticus stood before his battered body and pulled his Claymore with one hand. Aethis stood to challenge Theoticus, but was beat easily. The world faded to black...
