Notes: For Bethyko, who asked for Delight into Delirium.

Some days, all she remembers is how to take herself apart.

Some days she remembers putting herself back together again, and the world almost makes sense when she looks at it the way that most people do, and when she claps her hands and laughs, there are butterflies and showers of small shinyprettysparklythings. But then the world twists again and she understands too much, like there's the taste of apple or some other kind of fruit on her tongue, tart and almost sour under the sweetsweet juice - too much, more than her brothersister ever guesses she could, but Desire mocks her and Desire doesn't know, not really, and can't, because if Desire knew, then which one of them would be her? She's the only one who can really know all of this.

Some days she cries, but most of the time, she goes and gets Barnabas and they go visiting instead.
