Disclaimer: I in no way own Harry Potter or any of J.K. Rowling's fine characters (believe me, if I owned it, you'd KNOW).
Warnings: angst, slight slash, hate, character death (although it's canon, and JKR never warned us!)
100 words in Snape's POV on Sirius's death.

Speak Not Ill
He's dead.
I cannot bring myself to believe those two simple words. How could this man, this infuriating man, end his life in so foolish a way?
But he was always foolish. How predictable of him, taunting death. It sickens me.
His lover keens, his godson screams, and I am left to ponder how I could waste so much time and energy hating this fool. For he was a fool, dying such an asinine death. Leaving so much behind, so many to mourn. And fools are to be pitied, not loathed. Surely I should no longer hate him.
I do.
