Disclaimer: I don't own CSI or anything to do with it.
A/N: I was supposed to be doing a practice exam that would supposedly help me get ready for the Provincial that I had to do in two days, but I got bored, so… here's the result.
Silent War, Silent Love
The dark night shifts in sleep,
Long awaited rest from the heat of day.
Two stand, side by side, separated, as one,
Fire and ice.
Bright lights flash,
Twisting and turning,
Waging silent war, silent love.
Wind whistles, eyes meet.
Fire and ice.
The world fades as the silence grows,
Words ring out in nothingness.
Words of a past,
Words of a present,
Words for a future.
And the night shifts,
The desert sighs.
Like a wild animal he jumps, startled,
Searches fearfully for escape
From the familiar unknown, dangerous haven.
A hand rests on his arm, and he calms.
Let's get to work, says she, soft, gentle, infinitely patient.
A barely audible sigh of relief,
A cloud of vapour which hangs in the cold air
As the desert sleeps on,
The night rests on,
And two, side by side, separated, as one,
Work on.
Fire and ice.
Silent war, silent love.
