Raindrops in the Glass Frame

A teardrop in the eyes kept in bosom reminds that was to be.
Reflected stars of the past ever twinkle in fading melody.

A weep in her heart was, once upon a time, in days of merry.
Recall that fairy tale of love, lost, and the legendary.

What was to be a promise that aged and had long been forgotten?
So faraway the teardrops fall by the petals all and heartbroken.

What last embrace before long be an illusion of his walking away?
So nearer his image buries in her soul, as drifted the day.

Her memories return to that used to be and that was longed so.
Lowly ship wandered the twilight of space many centuries ago.

Her empty spirit had not feelings and only silence was the beat.
Yet, somewhere in her there still be a story of bittersweet.

How longer will she stay by the window under the stars this night?
Sketch his face in the gray clouds, well after the dawn's light.

How lonely is the waxing moon in the distant skies painted pale?
Quiet so are the teardrops that whispered this fairy tale.
