The Way She Moves

Chapter Two: Tea and Kisses

We often have tea with her after class, a trend that started in the beginning of the year so that she could relay Order business without being very suspicious. It was difficult at first, particularly when a few students tried to claim she was playing favorites, but since we had an appointment to talk with her (ostensibly to discuss an extra-credit project), that idea flopped pretty quickly.

Luna gives me a pinch, and I realize that class is over. I pack my bag as we wait for the room to empty out, my eyes glazed over as I think over the daydream my girlfriend interrupted. We move silently down the hall behind our professor and friend, waiting patiently while she loosens the wards to allow us entrance into her office. She and Luna check the Silencing Charms on the room while I start the tea, as is our weekly habit.

Hermione has no idea that this meeting is to be different, but I prefer it that way. She discards her outer robes and relaxes into one of the chairs, chatting amicably with me as I fix our tea. Her first indication that something is different isn't until Luna moves behind her and begins to massage her shoulders. She raises her eyebrows but says nothing, and leans back into my girlfriend's touch.

The teakettle whistles and I pour our tea, my hand brushing lightly against hers as I hand her a cup. 'Now is the time to act,' I think to myself. I move to Luna and hand her a cup of tea, bending down to press a light kiss into Hermione's temple as I push a curl out of her face. "Beautiful," I breathe softly, inhaling her soft, feminine scent.
