It was finally over. He, she, could finally walk away. The road is long and hard, but it was even harder to stay. Everyone blamed him for what happened, and well they should. His final attack may have destroyed his enemy, but it also destroyed his life. Such a powerful attack could not be used without consequence. And the consequences were dire. He had lost it all, his true love, his best friend, his adoring "bride", and his greatest rival, all destroyed by the backlash. Others had died as well; his father, Mousse, Mr. Tendo, Happosai (no big loss there), Herb (who had finally seen past his pride and came to his aid.), even Saffron had come to stand at Ranma's side, all destroyed by the one they came to support. Some would say that it was a sacrifice that had to be made, lest the rest of the world fall. But none of that mattered now, he was walking away. No more extortion, no more Kuno, no more morning battles, no more constantly worrying about water temperature, no more friendship, no love, no life, it was all gone now, lost to his enemy. Nerima was dead to him, Japan was dead to him, what did he have to live for?
"Perhaps I can save others," was the one thing that kept him, kept her moving. But where to start? Most of the world revolves around the U.S., but they didn't need his help; Russia was suffering a depression but they did not need his help, there was no war to fight.
Sleep finally claimed the person known as Saotome Ranma. No dreams came with this sleep, but something far more real. He slept with the Nanban Mirror in his arms. A tear slid down his face and landed near the mirror. Slowly it moved toward it, rolling ever closer to the glass surface of the magical artifact. One would think that it would be stopped by the frame, but not this teardrop. This one's destiny was within the mirror. It worked its way up and over the frame and finally settled where fate had worked so hard to bring it. In a brilliant flash of light, Ranma disappeared, so that he might have his wish.
What did he wish for? Ah ah ah, that would be telling, you just have to wait and see.
