Coal in the Diamonds

He was a gemstone, a diamond in a sea of emeralds. He was told that many times. As a child, this was the truth. He was bright, friendly, and outgoing. Now in his manhood little of this was true. He was intelligent. That thoughtful young boy had now been replaced by a ruthless, arrogant, cold hearted twenty-three year old.

He had lost all his friends because of that man Gozaboro. He had also lost his chance at making new ones because of his adoptive father. His life was empty now. There was no one there in his life anymore. Except one person, Mokuba, the sweet little boy who never left this young man's side. Although the young CEO hated to admit it, Mokuba was maturing. The boys sixteenth birthday was on the seventh. Although a teenager, the CEO's brother never became rebellious, in fact he became more obedient, if at all possible. But young Mokuba was resourceful and plenty able to take-care of himself.

"And quite frankly I'm sick of my crappy life! Whatever, I have to get back to work," the CEO thought to himself. A few hours later he looked away and his eyes fell on the clock.

"2:59, shit! I told Mokuba I wouldn't work late tonight. Ah, no point in going home now. I'll just take a five minute break and then get back to work," he said to himself as he went out to the balcony of the tower. As he stood on the balcony he found himself thinking about how it would feel to be relived of all stress, all earthly stress, pain, and suffering. As he processed what he was thinking about, he food that he was leaning off the edge of the balcony.

"Maybe I should go home," he muttered to himself as he pulled his body back on the correct side of the railing.
