"Ellie is my best friend"
She is a firecracker.
A spit fire.
Any word with fire in it describes Ellie.
How did we meet?
I don't remember the whole thing,
she was hovering over my face one day and I couldn't help but jump when I saw her face.
I shreiked actually,
her mascara was smudged.
Scared the crap out of me.
"Can I sit down?"She sniffed out.
I noded.
She took out a napkin and blotted her face and I looked at her with an intent gaze.
She was beautiful.
But an outcast,
I could tell.
Right down to the laughter that came from the other popular table where Paige sat.
Paige Michealchuck,star cheerleader.
So was I surprised when Ellie asked me if she could have my milk and took it off my tray?
No.
Was I surprised when she proceeded to
chuck it 12 feet over to their table and
smiled as it landed on the blonde's head?
Yeah.
And that's how I knew I had a new best friend.
Don't ask why,
because I don't know how.
It's just been that way.
And ever since then she always had my back through thick and thin.
I looked at her across the table in math class and flashed her a smile.
She wiggled her fingers at me and blew me a kiss.
I blushed automatically.
I wasn't used to girl attention.
Not to say I wasn't handsome.
Cause I was.
I would hope so,
it's just that I never noticed girls looking at me.
I hoped they looked at me.
Some of her friends laughed when I waved back.
Ashley was one of them.
Ashley was Craig's girl so it wasn't like I was trying to be funny or anything when I waved back at her too.
She laughed again and turned to Ellie,
waving her hands in the air and pressing her fingers to her lips.
Ellie noded and glanced at me.
Little did I know that that glance would be my eternal demise.
