The darkness swimming
deep within your eyes
Swallows all of who you
used to be.
Yet I stare into sea
green orbs of hate
To find the one who
once was friends with me.
I miss the glinting
silver of your hair
In the sunlit morning
of our youthful days.
For now you seem much
older than your years
As in your mind the
thought of murder plays.
When once we quested
for our smiling love
You promised that our
futures would entwine.
Now we are separated I
do hope
Of that young oath to
see some subtle sign.
I wish to break the
shadow's binding spell
To save you love, from
endless darkened hell.
