AFTER THE FALL

Lucius Malfoy frowned because his shoes no longer fit quite right. In fact, an evil curse to punish him for being a Death Eater had shortened his laces while they were still in his shoes, thus the shoes were pulled way too tight around his feet. He tried shrinking his feet to compensate (which was hard in a jail cell without his wand), but now his shoes didn't fit at all!

"Oh boy," Lucius said sadly, contemplating his now-little feet. His jail sentence was almost up today. He'd served a 6-day jail sentence in addition to having his shoelaces shrunk, for killing and maiming a whole bunch of muggles while Voldemort was in power. Voldemort had died, though, kicking the bucket with speed and granduer, so Lucius was sadly on the losing side.

He hobbled out of the jail cell as soon as Dumbledore opened the door for him, and he set off for a shoe shop. He looked first at Adidas, but those didn't fit him quite right. He looked at Nike but found the shoes too girly for him.

"Darn it!" Lucius cried in frustration.

He then realized that he could ask Harry Potter to conjure some cool new shoes for him, and did so.

"Harry Potter, can you conjure some cool new shoes for me?"

But Harry Potter refused because he didn't like Lucius.

"No. No, Lucius, I will not conjure you cool new shoes. Because I don't like you."

And he thought Draco (who was Lucius's son) was mean too.

"I think Draco, your son, is mean, too."

So Lucius asked Hermione and she did it for him.

"Hermione, will you conjure me some cool new shoes?"

"Sure, Lucius. I will conjure you some cool new shoes."

"Thank you Hermione. I shall not call you mudblood for five days," Lucius said gratefully.

"Oh, gee!" Hermione turned bright red. "I am happy."
