Forgotten Past

I cannot say it was a beautiful day because it wasn't. The fluffy clouds in the sky were replaced with dark gray clouds unleashing their godly anger upon the pitiful souls below. Rain continuously pouring like God had cleansed the forgotten souls and drained the water on Earth.

Two men, in the middle of it all. Standing there face to face no more than ten yards away from each other. Drenched in rain, lightning flashing images of their cold, evil faces. They were waiting, but for what? The past had caught up to them. There was no turning back. This was it, either do or die. Today, not tomorrow, right now.

The wrath of these to warriors was unbelievable. Charging at each other, their thin double-edged blades glisinig in the moonlight. Mud splashing in their faces from the heel of their shoes.

Actions being there only words, talking with the edges of their swords. The heart beating, the soul excited, it craved for its opponents blood like a drug. Slicing, hacking blocking attacking. For they would not stop until one dropped dead. The man with the beautiful rose-red long flowing hair, now mopped to his head, with only a ribbon from his former lover keeping it out of his eyes. What's he fighting for? Freedom. Plain and simple. Freedom from his past. For only his opponent's death could free him from such an evil blood filled past. The other man's purpose in fighting? Life. For he did not want to die. At least, not yet. There was someone the black-eyed devil had to find for the sake of their love.

"Miss Migumi." The long black haired beauty clouded the devil's mind and concentration. The red haired man noticed this and took control. Charging forward, he lashed out. Connecting his blade with the black haired man.

"Its over Miss Migumi…I'm sorry… my love."

It was all over. There was no one left to remind the red head of his past retracting his blade back, he turned away from the dying devil and began his long journey as the traveling legendary "Batosai". Deserting the man who had killed the one thing he had ever loved.
