"Ryoma?"

"Yes, Fuji-sempai."

"Go out with me tomorrow?"

"No."

"Sa, please?"

"No."

"Please?"

"No."

Fuji frowned. "Why not."

"Because."

"Just saying 'because' isn't a good reason."

"Che." Ryoma pulled his cap down. "Good enough."

At Fuji's silence, Ryoma snuck a glance out from under his hat to see that Fuji had a rather disappointed and sad look on his face.

Scowling slightly and looking the other way he huffed out a disgruntled, "fine."

Fuji's face lit up immediately. "Really?"

"On one condition."

"Sa… and what would that be?"

"No more being all touchy-feely in public," Ryoma blushed slightly. "It's embarrassing."

Fuji pouted slightly. "But it's the only way I know to stop those people from flirting with you. You're quite easy on the eyes, an enjoyable site really." Fuji smiled at Ryoma's immediate face reaction to that comment. "And your personality is too cute. Who would've thought someone like you would blush so much?"

"Fuji…"

"So I really can't act like I normally do with you?"

"What you do 'normally' is just slightly short of molesting," Ryoma retorted dead pan.

"Kiss?"

"No."

Fuji sighed. "Well, if it'll get you to go out with me tomorrow, I'll follow those conditions. So I'll pick you up at noon. Bye." Fuji started to turn away from his house.

"Wait, Fuji-sempai."

Fuji turned around. "Yes?"

"I guess we can still hold hands… if you really want," Ryoma mumbled with a pretty red tinge on his cheeks, eyes looking own at his shoes.

"Are you sure?" Fuji's smile widened at his curt nod. "Okay then. See you tomorrow."

While staring at Fuji's retreating form, Ryoma figured it wasn't so bad. He could go out with his boyfriend for once and not be thoroughly embarrassed. Fuji had this bad habit where he had to make sure everyone knew that he was taken. And public demonstrations appeared to be his favourite way of doing so.

It was habits like those that were the main (if not only) reason Ryoma ended up in so many compromising situations of late (two months and three weeks ago to be exact, the time when he started going out with Fuji in the first place).

Now Fuji was smiling happily as he strolled down the street. Now this would be an interesting (and fun in his opinion) challenge. He was quite sure he could still thoroughly amuse himself by torturing Ryoma through something as apparently innocent as hand holding. He was sure he could always gesture other intentions he wouldn't normally vocally verbalize in public by holding hands. He already had a few ideas in mind (rubbing it sensually or perhaps implying something if he took a single digit to slide in and out of the others' palm), but he was sure there were others he could think up that would prove to be just as interesting. That's another thing Fuji liked about Ryoma, he always let him explore -as well as motivated for him to use- his creative side.

And explore his creative side he would.

My friend wanted me to post this... I haven't posted pointless drabble in... a long long time. Feedback is always welcome though, criticism adored, and flames will be added to the fiery inferno of the hell collecting in my basement. And you can blame this fic on the Fuji and Ryoma muse in my head, and the fact that in my time of sickness (I blame this all on mycurrent fever) my will gave in. And that came as a result... gah -mumbles and goes to crawl into bed-. I'm planning a Fuji/Ryo fic... should be out one day if laziness doesn't hit me too bad.
