"Sensei, this is boring." Inuzuka Kiba grunted while finger tips were pushed against one another in his own ways of attempting the handseals his teacher was directing him to. "It'll be much easier, Kiba, if you start to follow my movements instead of looking at Akamaru chasing butterflies." Tiger. Horse. Ram. She made them effortlessly and quickly in front of the eyes of the boy who was stubborn in his learning today.

Tiger. Horse. ... what was that last one again, he wondered. Akamaru seemed to be having a fun time chasing after that monarch ... "Kiba! Pay attention. This is the last time." said the teacher who brought him back to attention. Her movements were even faster, probably out of irritation. She had been standing here for an hour with the young boy, awaiting for him to get it done correctly.

Tiger. Horse. .. Ram? She watched him and nodded, putting her hand on his shoulder. "Good job. I can't stay for much longer ... I promised I'd go with Asuma to get some dumplings for Anko." His eyes looked up to his teacher and he nodded, proud that even though it took him awhile, he got it done. "Keep practicing until tomorrow. Then we'll start to use the mind, your chakra, and illusions." With a swift hand movement, she was gone and all that was left was the grass where she once stood. Imprints and her scent lingered, he could smell it; a faint and light, not nose-destroying scent of what seemed to be a lily of the valley fragrance.

Asuma was lucky to have a woman like Kurenai-sensei. She was pretty, she was smart, and she must've had the patience of a saint to come out and deal with him day after day. Even though she denied being Asuma's girlfriend time and again, everyone in the Leaf Village knew how much of a blatant lie that was. He was a little bit jealous, deep down and for some reason he didn't know. She wasn't like most girls he knew. His mother and sister were rough and a little on the loud side, even if his sister was a little more serene. Then there was Forehead and Pig Girls, two obnoxious and wore the most obliterating-to-nasal-passage perfumes in existance. There was Hinata too, she was a cute girl, but that was it. She was just cute. He enjoyed her company because she never talked back to him, even if he encouraged her to more often. She dealt with him and Shino, just like Kurenai-sensei did. But she was only cute. Kurenai-sensei was the one who put faith in him by forcing him to do things.

On the other side of the Village, Kurenai walked alongside the bearded jounin. Hands in his pockets, he walked while the smoke kissed the sky from the cigarette which he took a small puff from. Her hands at her side, she stayed quiet, wondering about her student.

Kiba was a good kid, really. Just misunderstood and a little on the lazy side. He was just a pup, afterall, he wanted to spend his youth well and become a man when the time called for it. Deep down, she wondered if Kiba had what it took to become Hokage-sama. She could see him very well in that position if he matured enough and buckled down in the next few years. He was a hard-worker when he was motivated right, and one day, there probably wouldn't even need to be motivation. She just hoped Kiba would become a man the village would be proud to have as a ninja. And she, she would've liked to brag to her children, "When I was younger, I taught Rokudaime Hokage-sama." or maybe even, "When I was younger, I taught your Kiba-sensei."

A/N: Naruto isn't mine otherwise it'd be a freaky-deaky ninja porn theater. I decided to write this since I think it'd be cute if Kiba did have a crush on Kurenai. This is just my interpretation of what it'd be like. I may add more to this later, but as of right now, it's just a one-shot drabble. Also thought that Kiba would be a little jealous of Asuma too.
