A muse about the full metal alchemist's thoughts, questions, and view of himself. ...Don't ask.

Disclaimer: Ask me one more time, and I swear, I'll run out of places to hide the bodies.

My hands...one cold as ice, the other warm with the flow of life. One is frail, passing away like the flowers of the field.
The other is strong, seemingly unable to be destroyed...but holds no life.

Metal and flesh...living death and dying life.

Does one moment of true life make it better?

Or does forever make life obsolete?

Is it better to be heartless and invincible, or able to feel both joy and pain?
Is my quest futile, because people say it is so?
Or does that simply mean that their minds cannot reach my understanding?

Does a dream make me crazy? Or am I the only one sane?

...Does power make me safe? Or even more dangerous?

Does one good deed clear the mistakes of the past? Or does one mistake destroy a life-time of righteousness?

If your heart means well, does that make it good? Or is it merely a futile attempt to excuse your own error?

If you kill for the sake of others, does that make it justice?

If you destroy an innocent for a good cause, can it be reconciled?

Is it better to die without knowing the nature of this world, or to live in spite of it all?

Is it better to be remembered as being evil, or to be good but forgotten?

Will my existence be remembered at all?

If a child dies before their eyes are opened, what was the point of their life...?

Where is the equivalent of such a circumstance?

If what we have believed in all our lives has once been wrong, is it completely false?
Are the laws of alchemy themselves incorrect? Is the only truth we have ever known a lie?

Asking questions brings only more questions...can anyone answer them all?

If someone is completely forgotten, have they truly existed at all?

...There are many things I do not know...

Many things I shall never know.

I am only human...or am I even that?

...I'm not sure what prompted this. And I actually can answer a few of these questions...but I can imagine Ed asking these quite easily...

Interpret as you will, leave a review and not a flame.

Further more, I tried to add some of his actual series-revolved thoughts. I know very little about the show considering I've seen about...six-four episodes. I can't recall. However, I'm no stranger to the theory of alchemy.
