AUTHOR'S NOTE: This is just a short little poem I wrote in my spare time, so do not expect anything wonderful :). If you must, flames are accepted but any feedback is good. This is briefly describing the courage of Arwen Undomiel and what she faced by loving a mortal man. Enjoy!
She forsook eternal life
And her place upon the ship
To sail to that silver fief
For her most precious relationship,
Forged by the One, Ilúvatar,
To save the world of Men;
And there she watches from afar
Her beloved where he has been
Guarding the realms of the North
With his kin the Dúnedain
To advance and go forth
Against the Enemy and his kind.
She forsook even her kin:
Most beloved father and brothers,
All Elves of Middle-earth therein,
And Celebrían her dear mother
For her heart captured by him,
A man of great fate,
Will never surely dim
And her own destiny make
To go beyond her blood
A mortal woman to become
All for their great love
Shining brighter than the sun.
PS: I will probably post more poems here later so if you actually like this one, there's more coming!
