The emotion called Fear
Making my emotions hidden used to be easy, but after my older sister, Ayumu's death, it became, much, much harder.
"Yamazaki." Mr. Hijikata's loud voice was heard from my room.
"Yes sir?" I asked, appearing on the other side of the slide door.
"You may come in." He said, his pipe in his mouth.
I opened the sliding door and walked in, shutting the door behind me. I walked over to him then sat down "our" style. "You needed me?" I asked formally.
"Yes, Yamazaki I need you to catch those 3 shinobi." Mr. Hijikata took the pipe out of his mouth and blew the smoke out.
When I heard him say that, my eyes opened in shock. Mr. Hijikata would never ask for that.
"You scared Yamazaki?" Mr. Hijikata asked, smirking a little. "You need to get over that fear."
"Yes, I am." I spoke honestly. "I know I must get over it but with Ayumu..." I was cut off with a slap to the face. My eyes were shaking now, my hand on my cheek.
"Dont say her name." Mr. Hijikata angerly said.
"Im sorry sir." I said, bowing a little, my hands on the ground, my head leaning on them.
"Yamazaki, Im sorry, I didnt mean to.." Hijikata looked at his subordinate, he knew he did something wrong.
With me, I could hide my emotions pretty easily, but Mr. Hijikata, they just flew out of him.
"Sir, it is quite fine, Ill be on this mission imidiatly." Susumu lifted his head then got up and opened the sliding door.
"Yamazaki, come back safe." Hijikata said, kindness in his tone.
"Vice Commander, the emotion called fear, it wont keep me from succeeding in this mission." I said, closing the sliding door behind me and disappearing.
Well here is another short story. What i ment by "our" is the japanese style, i just thought it sounded cooler with "our". Please Review!
