'Oh dear,' said Molly, shaking her head at the bloody heap that was Remus Lupin on the freshly polished wood floor. 'Arthur!' she called down the hall.
'Yes dear?' said Arthur Weasley as he poked his head out the kitchen door down the hall. 'Oh my,' he said, after walking down the hall and spotting Remus passed out on the floor.
'Would you put him in his room, Arthur?' asked Molly.
'Mm. Wingardium Leviosa,' said Arthur. Remus drifted slowly upwards and then began floating up the stairs, Arthur Weasley following him, wand pointing upwards.
'Harry, were you attac- oh! Of course, your aunt and uncle are still outside, and with no way in. Tonks! Fletcher, Diggle, Podmore!'
3 wizards and a witch poked their heads out the kitchen door. The witch, Nymphadora Tonks, had (at the moment) violent purple hair. One of the wizards, a man by the name of Mundungus Fletcher, had what appeared to be gravy all over his face and robes. 'Yeah Molly,' he said in a distinct Scottish accent.
'Harry's aunt and uncle are waiting outside, go bring them in, would you?' Molly asked.
'MUNDUNGUS FLETCHER, I AM GOING TO KILL YOU!' came a shriek from upstairs.
'Now where 'ave I 'erd tha' one before?' Mundungus mumbled under his breath.
'I heard that!' shrieked Arabella Figg, on her way down the stairs. 'Another one's been attacked on your watch!' said Arabella, still shrieking every word.
'Oh, bloody 'ELL!' yelled Fletcher. 'Oo' attacked 'them, mm? Oo' was it this time? Dementors again? Mm? Death Eaters? Or was it Black's bloody GHOST?'
CRASH
Harry dropped the glass of water he had been given by Molly at the mention of his deceased godfather.
Mundungus sighed. 'Sorry 'arry, din' mean to remind yeh' of…well…'
'Yeah,' said Harry. 'Your being sorry really helps,' he said, before running up the stairs towards the room he shared with Ron while he was staying at headquarters.
He heard Molly call 'Harry! Harry come back,' but he ignored her and proceeded to his room.
He found the room empty save for the furniture, his trunk, and Headwig's cage.
He flopped down on his bed and covered his face with the pillow. Moments later, the door creaked open. 'Harry?' whispered a scared sounding Ronald Weasley from the doorway.
Harry lifted the pillow off his face and smiled. 'Been wondering where you were' he said to Ron, who's face broke out in a big grin.
'Oi! Hermione! It's ok, you can come in!' Ron yelled toward the door.
The door creaked open once more. 'Oh,' Hermione was silent as she stared, open mouthed at Harry. 'Harry, what's wrong?' asked Hermione after a few moments, noticing the nameless expression on Harry's face.
'N-nothing,' Harry spluttered. 'It's just, Mundungus…well…never mind.'
'Oh, I heard him yelling. Fletcher's been drunk all evening. Even Mum couldn't stop him drinking.' said Ron. 'I'm sorry Harry.'
'What?' asked Hermione. 'What did he do or say now?'
Ron blocked Harry's view of his face before mouthing 'Sirius' in Hermione's direction.
Harry rolled his eyes. 'I'm not entirely stupid, you know…' he said exasperatedly to Ron, whose ears immediately went pink.
'Er, Ron? Could you, excuse us for a moment?' asked Hermione.
Ron looked questioningly at Harry who just shrugged. Ron nodded and slowly left the room, stopping to look back at his friends before closing the door.
'What is it Mione?' Harry asked.
'Er…just wanted to- er- talk,' said Hermione slowly.
'Actually, now that you mention it, I need to talk to you too,' said Harry.
Hermione looked relieved. 'You go first,' she said.
'Er, alright,' said Harry. 'Um, I was- er- wondering of you- er- wanted to go to first hogsmeade weekend…with m-me…?' Harry said slowly.
Hermione's face turned a deep crimson and she giggled and nodded. 'That's what I wanted talk about as well,' she said, before giggling again. Suddenly she stopped giggling and a serious expression crossed her face. She bit her lower lip and slowly sat down on Harry's bed next to him. She reached out slowly and lightly touched his cheek. He slid closer to her. She leaned her face toward his slowly and closed her eyes.
Harry and Hermione heard a loud BANG and a gasp. 'Er, I, er, uh, I, um, I…' Ron attempted to speak but couldn't. Hermione jumped up and ran off down the hall to the room she shared with Ginny Weasley and slammed the door.
Ron looked worriedly at Harry before smiling. 'Nice catch mate,' he said.
'W- wha?' spluttered Harry.
'She looks different doesn't she? It's like, looking at a different person.'
'She's beautiful,' Harry breathed, still gaping, open mouthed, at the open door.
'Er…Harry? Woo-hoo, I'm over here,' Ron said, noticing Harry's distant expression. Harry didn't so much as twitch a muscle. 'Er, alright then. I'm…going to sleep now. Er, g'night Harry.'
'Mm,' Harry mumbled, before getting up and walking out the door.
'Humph,' sighed Ron, before flopping down on his bed and drifting off to sleep.
Harry walked slowly down the hall and down the stairs. He tip-toed past the moth eaten curtains which blocked the view of the portrait of Mrs. Black, who highly discouraged the use of her house as a headquarters for people fighting Voldemort.
Harry walked into the kitchen where Molly, Arthur, Tonks, and Dedalus were sitting. 'Where's everyone else?' he asked.
'They're all off at the ministry,' said Arthur. 'Order business.'
Molly stood up. 'Would you come with me, Harry dear?' she asked brightly. Harry nodded and followed her out the door and down the hall. When they reached the 3rd door on the left she opened it and led Harry down the stairs into the basement.
'Harry, why haven't you asked any questions about why you're here?' asked Molly. "It's really not like you.'
'Why am I here?' asked Harry. 'And why are the Dursleys here? Who's attacked Remus and where's Mundungus getting money for booze from?' Harry said all of this very quickly.
Molly opened a door a little down the hall from the stairs and Harry followed her inside. The Dursleys were all sitting around a small table eating what looked like Molly's cooking. Dudley was stuffing food in his face like a pig, and Harry smiled at this. 'At least something is normal,' he thought.
