(A/N – Hey everyone! I just wanted to say thanks to everyone for reading this far. It's been fun having someone to actually read it when I write it, it's really exciting.
I've figured out how it's going to end. It's probably not necessary to tell you this but…you'll have to wait and see. There should probably be anywhere from 2-5 more chapters in this story.
I started a new fic a few days ago. It's not very long obviously but reviews would be much appreciated! And yeah…its nothing like this one. NOT a happy story.
So thanks for the reviews and stuff…have a nice day and enjoy the chapter!)
"I thought you didn't know what you did?" Ginny said airily.
"Yeh…I lied." Replied Draco coolly.
Ginny laughed. "Yeah…" She slid off her bed and sat down sideways on his lap in the armchair by the fire, her legs hanging over one of the arms.
He raised his eyebrows. "Comfortable?" he asked.
"Yup," she said cheerfully.
He laughed and wrapped his arms around her waist as she slid down and rested her head on his chest.
He pushed her chin up and kissed her deeply, sliding his hand around to rest under her hair. She slid her hands up and rested them on his stomach.
Just then there was a knock on the door and it flew open.
"Ron…" Ginny said slowly, sitting upright but still on Draco's lap.
"Um…" Ron started. "Although I have to say that that's just a little creepy…um, I'm ok with this. And…I'm sorry I set Fred and George on you." He added to Draco.
Ginny laughed. "Yeah…thanks Ron. It means a lot to me to have your blessing."
"Yeah ok…" Ron said, eyeing her strangely. "I'm going now." And he left.
The next day, Harry was woken early by a smiling, vibrant Dumbledore. "Good morning, Harry" he greeted him cheerfully.
"Yeah right," Harry replied groggily. "What time is it?" he asked, sliding his glasses onto his nose.
"Nearly 8. It's really not that early, Harry. What were you doing so late last night?" Harry was a little freaked out by the suggestive tone in his headmaster's voice. "Ah well, that's not important. If you could get ready, I need you to meet me in the dungeons at 9. We have a lot of preparation to do before tonight."
"Alright professor. I'll be there." Dumbledore turned and made his way out of Harry's room. Rising slowly and sleepily, he practically dragged himself over to the bathroom and into the shower.
After Dumbledore left Ginny's room, Draco crawled out from under the bed where he had been hiding while the headmaster was in the room.
"Shit," said Draco.
"What?" Ginny asked worriedly.
"He'll be going to my room next, I'm going too, remember?"
"Yeah…" Ginny said slowly. "He probably knows you're in here."
"What?"
"He just kind of…knows things. You know?"
"Yeah…that's just great. What if he tells your mum?"
Ginny laughed. "He won't. Don't worry about it, we'll be fine!"
"Alright…but if you're wrong…"
"I'm not. Trust me!" she said, laughing.
"You look amazing when you laugh," he said, climbing onto the bed next to her.
She put her hand over her mouth as he leaned toward her. "Haven't brushed my teeth," she said quietly, still smiling.
"I don't care," he said, pulling her hand away and kissing her lightly.
"We have to get ready," she whispered.
"In five minutes," he said, pushing her down onto her back and kissing her hard.
At about five minutes to nine, Draco and Ginny were to be seen running through the corridors at top speed, searching for the stairs to the dungeons. Screaming in aggravation, Ginny swung her arm out to stop Draco, almost clothes lining him in the process.
She sat down on the ground, leaning against the wall and pulling the map out of her pocket. "Ok, where are we?"
"Um…I think…" Draco stopped talking.
Ginny closed her eyes for a moment. "I have absolutely no idea where we are."
Just at the moment, Harry came walking calmly down the hall dressed just as they were, black robes and black cloaks with hoods.
"Lost?" he asked.
"Yes!" Ginny cried. "Help!"
Harry laughed. "You're leaning on the entrance."
Ginny jumped up and turned around, laughing when she realized she had been sitting against a door. "It's in there?" she asked.
"Yup," replied Harry. He stepped forward and turned the doorknob. The door opened to a wide stone stairwell, the only light coming from the torches on the wall. He started on his way down the stairs.
Ginny followed him, Draco behind her. When they reached the bottom they found a single, perfectly square room with two doors on each wall.
On the opposite side of the room sat Dumbledore, Alastor, and Remus. Remus was beaming ear to ear. Harry, understanding why, was smiling too.
Draco seemed a little uneasy about the whole thing, and was hovering behind Ginny and looking at the floor.
Dumbledore stepped forward. "Happy birthday Harry. Let's get ready; we have a big day ahead of us."
