(A/N – Oh. My. God. I am crying. This chapter…I feel like I'm bragging…I'm not trying to. I've never read anything like it. I want to read more stories like this… Read on.)
After Sirius and Remus knocked out all of the remaining death eaters, they had carried Harry over to a bench and laid him down, with Sirius's cloak under his head. Remus conjured a bowel of cold water and a cloth, and gave it to Hermione to try and wake him.
"I can't believe…your back…" Remus stuttered.
Sirius smothered his friend in a huge hug.
"Um…" a voice came from the back of the room. Sirius and Remus both turned to look. Peter was still standing in the doorway.
"Come down here, and I'll consider not killing you," said Sirius.
Shaking, Peter mad his way down the stairs towards the group of wizards.
"Why did you do that?" asked Sirius. "Betrayer at heart?"
"I had to…" he stuttered. "I owe Harry my life, he saved it. It's ancient magic."
"Ah…so you didn't do it because you wanted to…"
"Well…I did want to. I…thought maybe it might repay you for…well…what I did…"
"Ha!" Sirius laughed. "Nothing, and I mean NOTHING can redeem you of that. YOU try spending 12 years in that…that place!"
"Did you see then, Padfoot?" asked Remus.
"Lily and James? Yeah. They were there…"
A quiet moan came from Behind the group. "Stop it…that's cold." Said Harry quietly, his eyes still closed. Hermione laughed weakly.
"Wake up, Harry."
His eyes cracked open slightly. "Mione…"
"Harry." She smiled widely.
He reached up and brushed the hair out of her face.
"Ahem," Sirius cleared his throat.
Harry glanced over, and took a moment to think. "So…This all really happened, then? No dream?"
"No dream, Harry," replied his godfather.
Just then, a group of about eight or nine aurors came running into the room. They all looked around the room, trying to find the trouble. Seeing none, one of them walked into the room. "Hey…Peter Pettigrew?"
Peter's eyes widened.
"Peter Pettigrew, you are under arrest for the betrayal and murder of Lily and James Potter, and the murders of Bob Frank, Andy Danka…" and he went on to list all the people Peter had killed in the street on the night of the dark lord's first downfall.
They bound him in magical rope and took him away.
A few minutes after the aurors had left, a cold chill ran through the room, blowing the veil open once more. Two cloaked figures stepped out, this time neither with their hoods raised.
Before them stood a man who was the spitting image of Harry, only older and with brown eyes, and a beautiful woman with red hair and Bright green eyes. Both of them were wearing black traveling cloaks.
"Oh my God…" said Remus slowly.
The man who looked like Harry cracked a huge grin. "Moony!" he said happily.
"Prongs…" Remus smiled. "You don't look a day older…"
"You don't age when you're dead," James replied. "You look old."
Remus smiled. "Lily, oh my God I can't believe this."
"Remus…" said Lily. "I missed you."
Remus walked over and gave Lily a hug, and then moved on to James. "Holy shit, man. You look exactly the same."
James laughed. He stepped past Remus and walked over to Harry, who was still lying on the bench beside Hermione. Hermione stood up to make room or him, and James sat down in her place.
Harry looked into his father's eyes.
"I'm proud of you…" said James quietly.
Harry sat up and faced James. "You're alive."
Lily crossed the room and stood next to James, tears pouring silently down her face. James reached up and brushed her face. "Harry…" she said quietly, as if testing it out. "Harry. Oh, I can't believe this. Harry I…I love you."
