Closure

He never felt so much pain and hurt before. Not when one of his mother's abusive boyfriends beat the shit out of him. Not when he fell from the stairs of the New Yorker appartment in 2nd grade. Not when his father abandoned him again after he traveled to the other side of the country for him. All the pain he was caused was from a simple word which shattered his world into a million pieces.

No,no,no,no,no!

He didn't expect her to let him run into her arms again. Honestly he didn't even know what he wanted to say to her the first place. When he saw her, the words he had gone through over and over in his head just faded away, instead all he could come up with was a sentence he now wished had never left his mouth.

Come with me!

Does he regret his decisions? There are sure a lot of things he regretted. He regretted flunking out of school, he regretted dissapointing his uncle who always stood up for him, but most he regretted leaving the only girl he ever truly loved behind without a goodbye, hell even without a note.

Because you didn't say goodbye

Evasiveness was one word which could be easily refered to him. It was no secret that he wasn't much of a talker. But she got into him. If not completely she managed to to have conversations with him, which didn't just revolve around monosyllabic responses. They could talk for hours about everything and nothing. She told him about her family, her school, her dreams, everything and he wished he had done it, too. Perhalps they would have worked out.

I may have loved you

Their timing was never perfect. In fact, he was more than suprised that they even got together considering the fact that there was always something between them. Dean, her mother, actually whole Stars Hollow was against their relationship. But they were together, despite the towns doubts. Perhalps their assumptions weren't so wrong.

And I'm not going to pine

He saw her again. One day he was walking through the New Yorker streets and he saw her with a guy, laughing and just being happy. And as he was watching her from afar with a man who probably could offer her everything he never could, the pain in his heart slowly fade away. If not completely it was enough to move on, because he wouldn't be pining anymore. With one last look at what they could have never been he turned away to leave his past behind. Forever.

So this is what they call closure.
