Summary: Mulder takes Scully to a world she thought she'd never see. MSR.
The darkening sky rumbled as the summer thunderstorm rolled into view over the waves as they crashed onto the shore. The salty smell of the ocean filled her nostrils and the wind swept through her hair and stung her cheeks. The comforting heat from his hands covering her eyes disappeared and when Scully opened her them she beheld a world she thought she would never see; a world that only existed in her dreams.
He rested his chin on her shoulder and looked deep into her eyes and she took in the purplish beauty of the impending storm gaining strength over the powerful ocean. He knew she would love this place. He had brought her here in desperation to satisfy the need. A need so fierce that he could not deny it. The need to have her close to him, to have her body so tenderly pressed against his, to have her.
Scully was hypnotized by the thunder and dark colors mixing just above the trembling ocean. It was so beautiful. She could feel his passionate gaze and his hot breath patting the side of her neck but did not acknowledge it. This was like one of her dreams and she didn't want to wake up.
A bolt of lightening struck in the far distance and lit up the sky in a brilliant flash illuminating Scully's eyes as she finally turned to face Mulder. The subsequent crash of thunder seemed to add electricity to every particle of matter in the vicinity including Mulder's blood as he saw the same dominating hunger blazing in her eyes.
The dark clouds cast eerie shadows all along the coastline as lightening continued to strike the distant ocean that seemed to radiate all around and electrify their atmosphere. Mulder felt Scully lean forward against him as their gaze melted deeper into the uncharted depths of emotion.
Without further conscious deliberation Mulder leaned down and placed his lips satisfyingly on hers letting the emotions take hold. The kiss deepened as the thunder and lightening began to intensify. Scully clung to Mulder and let the forces of nature dominate her.
The warm rain started to fall and they broke the kiss. The shore was draped in wild obscurity but the recurring lightening strike lit up the summer sky and revealed the others dripping wet expression. Mulder closed the minute gap that had fashioned between them and wrapped Scully up in another fervent embrace. The storm churned around the two and Scully realized that this was no dream and that Mulder had finally taken her to the wonderful world she thought she'd never see.
